PFB Dock and Marina Sealer is a heavy-duty epoxy concrete sealer built for dock surfaces, marina floors, boat ramps, and high-traffic waterfront structures. It creates a hard, chemical-resistant coating that withstands petroleum spills, standing water, heavy foot traffic, and vehicle loads. Unlike standard concrete sealers that wear through in months, this epoxy-based formula penetrates the concrete and builds a tough protective film that lasts for years. Trusted by marina operators, boatyard managers, and commercial waterfront facilities across the country.

Surface Preparation

  • Concrete must be fully cured — minimum 28 days for new concrete
  • Remove all oil, grease, and petroleum stains with a concrete degreaser
  • Etch the concrete with muriatic acid solution or mechanical diamond grinding
  • Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely — 24-48 hours minimum
  • Prime bare concrete with PFB Surface Primer for best adhesion on smooth surfaces

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Dock Sealer be used on boat ramps?
Yes. Add a non-skid aggregate to the wet sealer for traction on boat ramps and sloped dock surfaces. Contact us for non-skid additive recommendations.
Will it resist fuel and oil spills?
Yes. The epoxy formula resists gasoline, diesel, motor oil, and hydraulic fluid. Clean up spills within 24 hours for best results. Prolonged chemical exposure should be avoided.
Can I apply Dock Sealer over existing concrete paint?
Yes, if the existing paint is well-adhered and not peeling. Sand the surface with 60-80 grit to rough up the old coating and ensure adhesion.
How long does Dock Sealer last?
Expect 3-5 years in commercial marina traffic conditions. Residential docks with lighter traffic may see 5-7 years. Recoating is simple — scuff sand and apply one refresher coat.
Is Dock Sealer slippery when wet?
Like all smooth coatings, it can be slippery when wet. We recommend adding a non-skid aggregate to the final coat for any surface that gets foot traffic near water.
