Returns & Refunds
Effective date: April 1, 2025
30-Day Return Window
We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in its original, factory-sealed condition — unopened and unused. Products that have been opened, partially used, or mixed are not eligible for return.
To initiate a return, email us at sales@paintsforboats.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return. We will respond within one business day with return instructions.
Condition Requirements
Returned products must meet all of the following criteria:
• Original factory seal must be intact and unbroken
• Original packaging must be in acceptable condition
• Product must not have been exposed to extreme temperatures or conditions during storage
• All original labels must be present and legible
We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service (FedEx or UPS) and retaining proof of shipment, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking.
Ship returns to the address provided in your return authorization email. Do not ship returns without first receiving a return authorization from our team.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned product, we will notify you by email of the status of your refund. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
Please note that it may take an additional 3–5 business days for the refund to appear on your bank or credit card statement, depending on your financial institution.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong product shipped, defective product, etc.).
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different product, please return the original item (subject to our return policy) and place a new order separately.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return under any circumstances:
• Opened or used products
• Custom-mixed or special-order products
• Products marked as final sale
• Hazardous materials that have been shipped cannot be returned via standard carriers due to DOT regulations — contact us to discuss options
Defective or Damaged Products
If you receive a product that is defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at sales@paintsforboats.com. Include photos of the damage or defect and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping if required.
Bulk and Commercial Orders
All bulk, commercial, and government orders are subject to a separate return agreement. Please contact us before placing a large order if you have concerns about suitability. We strongly recommend ordering a sample quantity first to verify color and product performance for your application.
